David Jowanka MSc, Psychotherapist & Psychologist
Based in Europe. Working internationally.
The Psychological Impact
of Living Between Cultures
Living abroad can be enriching — yet emotionally complex.
Relocation, identity shifts, relationship strain, career pressure, and cultural transitions can accumulate over time, leading to anxiety, disconnection, self-doubt, or burnout.
I provide online psychotherapy in English and German for expats and international professionals across Europe and Asia.
Through years of clinical work with internationally mobile individuals, I have developed particular expertise in supporting professionals navigating cultural transition, belonging, and cross-cultural complexity.
My work is practical and reflective, tailored to your individual goals. I provide a steady, supportive space to explore your thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, and move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), complemented by clinical hypnotherapy where appropriate.
